SENATOR LAMAR ALEXANDER ENDORSED BY U.S. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Nashville, TN – Today, Alexander for Senate announced that the United States Chamber of Commerce has endorsed Senator Lamar Alexander in his re-election campaign for the United States Senate. Congratulating Senator Alexander, Thomas J. Donohue, President and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said, "We believe that your election to the U.S. Senate will help produce sustained economic growth and promote America's competiveness in world markets."
"I'm grateful to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for their endorsement. We must keep taxes low, tackle Washington's out of control spending, and protect America’s brainpower advantage so that we can create good jobs here instead of having them get shipped overseas," said Senator Alexander.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation representing more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions. It includes hundreds of associations, thousands of local chambers, and 106 American Chambers of Commerce in 94 countries. In the 2006 elections, 222 of the 277 Chamber-endorsed candidates were elected.
